"January 24, 2020" Prompt: "What are your most epic failures (and how did you overcome them)?" I look at things a little differently. I've probably failed at a lot of things if you want to be negative and look at them as failures. I choose to look at them as "learning experiences and as such I've never had a failure. Sure I've had to try again and again, but I never failed at anything I put my mind to doing. Now do overs on the other hand I've had plenty of. College was a do over for me. I first began working on my bachelor degree in 1997. I dropped out of college in 2000, just three semesters shy of obtaining my goal. I do not consider that a failure. It was merely a retreat as I worked out my financial aid and some other issues. I finished my degree in December 2019 at a more prestigious school than the little known college I had started with. There are no failures, only minor setbacks. "Prompt: "Is there something that has frustrated you recently? Talk about it." If anything frustrated me it was my lack of faith during my recent health crisis. I know and I knew that Jesus Christ has it all under control. He needed to get my attention about a problem that was destroying my kidneys and He did so. I was in a lot of pain and to be honest I was a bit worried. The worry aggravates me because I knew God had it all under control. I was worried over nothing. I need to change some habits and give up an addiction. I was drinking two to four liters of Mountain Dew per day and it ruined my kidneys. They are recovering now. I'm frustrated because I am laid up for awhile, but I need to recuperate. God knows best. |
