"January 4, 2020"   "Prompt: The first signs of spring."At one time the first signs of spring for me were when the red-breasted robins began to show up. Now I live a little farther south and they gin with. Now the first sign of spring to look for is the lilies blooming. That usually occurs in March though I have seen a few dandelions that were still blooming in January here. This has been such a warm winter that even the trees are confused.Many of the sugar maples around these parts are starting to bud, although a cold snap will put them right back into hibernation. People will probably argue that it is global warming causing it. I saw enough evidence in my science classes at Marshall University to be convinced that global warming is real. However I don't feel we are going to be able to do anything about it. I believe God has ordained the world to be destroyed by heat (fire) and global warming is part of the build up to that occurring.      |
