It is not surprising that Soloman would bring the subject up as well. The ant has nobody driving it yet it takes care of itself and never does without. Many people would have us believe the expression "God helps those who help themselves" is in the Bible but it is not. However, it is implied by passages such as this. Solomon is making the transition from who Wisdom is and the virtues of possessing the wisdom to the virtues of acting wisely. A wise person prepares for contingencies. Do you like snow? Tell us about it." I hate snow. I learned not to like it when I was just a boy. My family lived in a house way out in the country for years. We burned firewood to keep the place warm. That meant going out on the weekends to cut the wood, bring it back to the house and split it. Snow was always the worse. It was cold and wet.
