It Could Have Been a Little Bit More

True, it wasn’t very busy at work yesterday. But it was a whole lot busier than it usually is for a Saturday. And I think that I know why. It’s because it wasn’t a Saturday. It was a Friday. After all, Friday was Christmas. And almost everyone was off that day. Including everyone where I work. Oh, there was a little bit of activity at work yesterday. But only a tenth of the usual on a Friday. If it wasn’t even higher than that.

I think that yesterday was a Friday. That’s why it was kind of busy there than usual. I’m not sure how busy that it usually gets on a Friday since it has been decades since I worked there. But if I do remember right, it was a whole lot busier than it was yesterday. So, maybe I’m wrong slightly about it being more like Friday than Saturday yesterday at work. Maybe it was a combination of the two. That’s why it was about three times as busy yesterday at work.

So, what does this have to do with my writing? It means that I only got ten single paragraphs written for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. But it should have been more. At least five more. After all, that would have ended the first episode of this project. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to write those five single paragraphs. Well, that isn’t exactly true. I did write several other paragraphs. But they were re-writes. And re-writes don’t count as written paragraphs.

All that counts are the scene paragraphs. And that is what I did yesterday. I wrote ten of them. It doesn’t matter how many re-writes that I write. It’s the number of scenes that I write that counts. And unfortunately, I only got ten single paragraphs written yesterday at work. Of course, I wanted to get more of them written. But I couldn’t do that. in fact, I barely got the ten written. That’s who busy it was at work yesterday.

If it’s true that yesterday was Friday, then today should be like a Saturday. And if that’s true, I should be able to get a lot of writing done on this project. I don’t know how many I will get written today. But it could be seventeen. That includes two Establishing Shot for the Teaser Act of the second episode for this series. I don’t know if I can do that many in one day or not. But I’m going to get as many of them as I can written today.
