In Proverbs 9:7-10 Solomon contrasts correcting a mocker with correcting somebody with a little sense. Tell us your experience with this.

I’m not sure someone who mocks Christianity can actually hear you if you try to correct or explain their mostly wrong views. I can’t quote the scripture but, somewhere it says sometimes people cannot hear you when you speak about God or give Godly advice. Mockers usually have their own view point.

I think real sincerity has to be alive in the conversation by both people in order to correct a wrong view about anything. That is one of the reasons I believe people who are truly added to the Christian family have actively been called by God.

Paul is a good example because God sent someone {Ananias) to Paul after he was blinded. The followers of Christ were being killed. In Acts chapter 8 , Saul’s part in this is exclaimed. Then beginning in Acts Chapter 9 the story of Paul’s conversion is told.

There are lots of books written about modern day conversion stories. One by Lee Strobel, “The Case For Christ.” is especially interesting to me because he went to extreme ends to find out the truth about Christ.

I’m not keeping up well with this study. Cold winter weather is getting me and over the holiday we took in a new pet. We have a new rescue dog who has been with us for about 4 days. It takes time and lots of care to help a new pet find a niche and settle in to a new home. I’ll keep muddling along until I get back to a better rhythm. 2021 is soon upon us, Happy New Year.
