Psalms 128
Prompt:
Psalm 128:1-6
Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.
2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.
5 The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.

What does it mean to fear the Lord? Should we be afraid of anything else?

Genesis 9:2 -17 Meditate on this covenant which God made with Noah.He tells Noah how he will use his power to organize his creation.

If you wrong someone and have to meet them face to face do you feel dread? So, sin which was set loose when Satan tempted Adam and Eve is the beginning of not trusting the Lord. If you understand how God withholds his power and does not use it on us, you begin to understand, fear of the Lord.

Jesus is the link between what God could do and what he did for our sake to save us. Blood letting is a seriously ancient ritual.

Psalms 128 is written by David making the voice aimed specifically toward males, in verse 3.
