Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Proverbs 3:30-32 30 Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm. 31 Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. 32 For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. What does this mean to you? Answer: Pursue peace with everyone. Avoid oppressing anyone. God is a God of peace. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PROMPT May 29th We need your help filling the Challenge War Chest with new prompts for future rounds of the 30DBC! Write three of your own prompts and then use one of them to finish the rest of your entry. 1. What are your hobbies?/What do you like to do in your spare time? 2. What is your dream vacation? 3. Have you ever ever been to another country than the one you were born in? Write about it. I went to Mexico once as a teenager. It was a mission trip. We built a small one-room house for a family there. Renosa, Mexico is right across the border down by Mission, Texas. My part in working on the house was painting one whole outside wall of it. It was painted light blue. The small house had a couple of windows and a sheet of tin for the roof. It was a plywood structure and plywood flooring. It honestly looked more like a storage shed than a house, and I think some storage sheds are bigger. Sadly, this house was very nice compared to some other houses in the area. Some of the other houses, had cardboard walls. We don't know how blessed we are here in America until we have witnessed something like this. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day for Rest ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Our country is beginning to open up again. Are you planning on attending Memorial Day festivities like parades or picnics or fireworks? What's your feeling about public events at this time? I have no plans for Memorial Day. I have mixed feelings about public events. I am not 100 percent sure we are not demasking too soon. I realize those of us who have had the vaccine, need to test it to see how effective it is. However, there are those of us with chronic health issues that still don't need to catch the virus. I am honestly nervous about removing my mask in public. The mask has become a false sense of security for me. The mask isn't foolproof, but it does help protect you from the virus. I am not as nervous outdoors as I am in enclosed areas. I am definitely taking caution inside of Walmart. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We stayed in the Nebula today looking at the new stars. that discusses love and loneliness. Do you think there is someone for everyone? Why or why not? I don't think everyone was meant to be married. There are some people who were meant to remain single all their lives. I think if you truly were made by God to need. Significant other, he will provide that right someone at just the right time. God provides our every need. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Memorial Day weekend many families place flowers or mementoes on their family member's graves. Do you follow this tradition or do you have a tradition of your own to remember loved ones.? I used to place flowers on the graves every year, but I don't any more. I remember and honor my loved ones who have passed before me by trying to live my best life now. Unfortunately, flowers on their graves won’t bring them back, and it can keep you in your grief with a constant reminder that they are gone.
