That was the lake I last dreamed of
its surface azure, trees mirrored in green glory
in the quiet waters flowing in exceeding grace.
I cruised on with colorful water lilies dotting
The stream whispering sweet secrets of the floral
factions till we ended in a quaint village of idyllic
beauty, a lovely damsel welcomed me with warmth
took me home to soothe my fevered brow, broken dreams.

A single simple crossing over
the barricade of road blocks
took me to the other side of the town.
The side I never visited or knew it existed.

The chance direction brought me
face to face with an awe-inspiring sight.
A translucent lake with green foliage
lacing the tall trees reflected in the clear waters.
