Psalm 90:10, "The length of our days is seventy years—or eighty if we are strong.... |
Dear Grandsons We got back from the north woods today, so I am tired. it was a good visit. I did get firewood cut, the chain saw worked as it should. I was somewhat concerned if it would. I pinched it in a tree badly the last visit and thought I might have bent the chain bar getting it out. There is still some cutting to do the next time we are up there. But the worst is finished, All but the splitting and stacking. You guys know where I am writing of. Then I went fishing an afternoon after loading my brothers tractor on my trailer for him to take in for repairs. The tractor has a large front loader on it and it was not starting condition. It made for an interesting time loading. But back to the fishing. I had to use the kayak as the water was is too low to put a boat in. The body of water is a flowage and as such the water level fluctuates with the seasons. They drop the water level in the fall. But my brother and I did catch some fish, Very Large Crappies. I wish you guys would have been there. I had enough for two good meals of fish. My brother had about the same. BUT he use two poles from his little John Boat Now it is on to getting ready for our last Flea Market of this season on Sunday. The weather looks like it will be good, Dry and not to warm. Now to decide what items have a chance of selling. We keep about three Flea Market inventories to pick from. The last Flea Market is kind of sad. It will be six months before we see our fellow Fleas. But is is a time to rest and reorganize, and if God willing be ready for another season. I wanted to make note here. This is the latest I have seen a frost up north in my lifetime. The north woods Wisconsin is my beginning home. It has not frosted up there yet. The normal frost time there is about September 10-20. Maybe we are balancing out with the cold late spring. Please all have a Blessed Evening. |
