The Daily Poem: Day 2 - Please, Don't Kill me with Kindness
Please, Don't Kill Me With Kindness
It's the kill in the kindness
and not the kindness in the kill
that raises the hairs on the back of my neck
and causes my mind to be filled
with worries that are abstruse and complex.
When I see your sugary sweet smile,
or hear your honeybee buzzing voice,
I know you're planning to revile
in terms sticky sweet and moist
whatever I did that offended you,
and I feel spiders crawling up my spine.
Line Count: 11
Form: Two stanzas near rhyme scheme abcbc dedefg
Prompt: THE KILL IN THE KINDNESS/THE KINDNESS IN THE KILL -Use either, or both, but you must use the entire phrase -you MUST use ONLY near rhymes (no exact rhymes) -rhyming scheme is your choice -poem must be a minimum 11 lines
