Nothing to Write About Today

It’s the end of February. And I have already finished writing my two short stories for this month. I have also finished Creating them on WDC and posting them to their contests. That is why the blog title for today is what it is. It’s because I haven’t had anything to write about except for my scriptwriting. And I haven’t done anything with it because I’m not working today.

Yes, I know that I have worked on my short stories in the past while I was at work. So, there wasn’t any reason for not returning the favor and working on them today. I could have gotten a little bit written today on them. But I didn’t for a couple of reasons. one reason is that this has been the first chance that I have gotten to get on my laptop today. The second reason why I haven’t been able to get on my laptop before I started writing this blog entry.

What is the usual reason why I don’t have any writing done until now? That’s right. It’s because my brother and I had a lot that needed to be done today. And it took almost the whole day to do it. So, it’s a little lucky that I didn’t have to finish either one of these short stories. If I had, I probably would have finished them in time. Especially, if I had both of them to write. I may have been able to get one of them written. But not both of them. If that were true, then I would have finished the WDC short story first.

Now I’m just waiting for the new WDC prompt to come up for March. Once it does, I can start working on it. That may happen soon after midnight WDC time or it may be sometime tomorrow. It may even be a day or two before it’s posted. True, it should be within the next few hours after midnight WDC time. But I may be lucky if it’s sometime tomorrow during the day.

As for the second Short Story contest that I have been entering for about a year or two now, it’s up in the air as to when I will get the prompt for March. If I get one at all. It has happened before when there was no prompt for a month. Hopefully, that isn’t going to happen again soon. If it ever does happen again. This month, February, I barely had two weeks to write it. Luckily, I remembered a story to go along with the prompt for this month fairly quickly.

Hopefully, I will get a prompt for this contest soon too. But considering how it has been lately, I may be lucky if I get it before the contest is over with for March. The sooner I get it the fast I can remember a story that goes along with it. I’m just not going to count on it until it happens. If it happens for this month.
