At First, I Thought I Couldn’t Do It

Especially, if it was going to be a Science Faction Short Story. But after thinking about it, and re-reading this prompt for the millionth time, I remembered a Short Story that fits this prompt. It’s not an exact match. It is very, very close to one, though.

I believe it was late last Saturday evening when the new prompt came out for the WDC Short Story. I’m not exactly sure when it came out because I was still at work at the time. And I don’t have full access to WDC on my cell phone. But as soon as I got home from work, I checked my laptop. It was there. Admittedly, I started thinking about the Short Story for this prompt.

It took me about a day to come up with a Short Story for this prompt. That’s why I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to write one for this one. At least not for WDC. Normally, it doesn’t take me too long to come up with a Short Story for a prompt. But this time it was. Especially, since it was for a Science Faction one.

The rest of the weekend and today I continued thinking about this Short Story. So, when I got the chance to start writing it today, I could. Unfortunately, today hasn’t been too good of a day for writing. Don’t get me wrong. I have gotten some writing done on this Short Story. But not too much of it so far.

Will I continue to work on this Short Story after I post this blog entry? That is my plan. As for if I will be able to do any more writing, I don’t know. I do know that my brother and I have several things that we need to do tomorrow. But as far as I know, it won’t take us too long to do it. And I won’t be getting up too early to start doing them.

If I am wrong about the above paragraph, I may be going to sleep real soon after I finish posting this blog entry. It shouldn’t stop me from working on this Short Story tomorrow. We will be busy part of tomorrow. But it shouldn’t be the whole day. I don’t know how much writing I will get done tomorrow. It should be several hours, though.

As far as I know, my brother and I don’t have too much that needs to be done tomorrow. And we should be finished with it by the middle of the afternoon. If that’s true, I should be able to get quite a bit of writing done tomorrow on this Short Story. Of course, I have written something like this before. Only for it not to happen as planned. That’s why I’m not going to count on anything until it happens.
