a descent into poetry insanity

feeling random
Once upon a moonlit night
when all good kids are tucked in tight
I thought I dreamed of chocolate pies,
but then, when I unglued my eyes
I found that it was just the moon
blown up like a hot balloon,
to float away upon the air
and carry me past everywhere
into the place where detail ends
and abstract thought finds concrete friends
which flushed me down like sidewalk paint
all swirls of color, muddy, faint,
and Teddy laughing at the joke
I couldn't get. And then I woke.
