Not Bad, But Not Too Good Either

It has been one of those days today. From the time that I woke up early this morning until just before dusk I was doing one thing after another that needed to be done today. Knew that my brother and I had a few things that we needed to get done today. But it was a little bit longer than I thought it would be.

Didn’t know that it was going to take almost the whole day to do them. But it did. As a result, I didn’t get as much writing done on my first Short Story as I wanted to get done on it. At least I hope that it’s my first Short Story. I was hoping that my second one for this month got posted in the last few hours. But I just checked. And it still hasn’t been posted.

I’m not really surprised that the second Short Story contest that I have been entering hasn’t been posted yet. It has happened before quite a few times. And I’m sure it will happen again. I hope that it’s sometime this week. But I may be lucky if I get it by the end of this month. It may be a little longer than I usually get it, or I may not be able to get it at all.

It’s not a complete loss or another wasted day when I didn’t get any writing done besides this blog entry. True, it’s not too much when it comes to my writing of the WDC Short Story for this month. But I did get a little bit done today on it. It’s only part one of my six parts Short Story for this month. About three hundred and thirty words of it are what I got written today.

That doesn’t read like too many words. And it’s not. It should have been about double that. But considering how much time I had to work on it, three hundred and thirty words doesn’t seem so bad. At least I don’t think that it is. Will I get any more written on it today? I would like to write that I’m going to try to do it. But I probably won’t.

As I wrote above, I have been up since early this morning. What does that mean? It means I didn’t get as much sleep last night as I thought that I did. I have even been having trouble staying awake doing this blog entry. I’m probably going to be going to sleep soon after I finish writing and post this blog entry.
