Prompt: Wool and Water E.1- Row, Row, Row Your Boat Choose your fighter! Pirate? Captain? Or mere sailor? Give us a day in the life as part of the crew.

It's a Pirate's Life For Me! I am thinking of Pirates Of The Caribbean. I am a female pirate and I hope to be Pirate Princess someday. This is what I do. I mop the decks. We get to eat. Another pirate cooks bacon, eggs and we have chicken, bread, cheese, for lunch. I go in the crow's nest and look for ships to rob with a special eye piece. We love robbing the rich people. I spy a ship and we rob them. We do love the booty we collect. I like pearls and I keep some for myself. We get into a war with other pirates. I swing on a rope and yield a sword fighting male pirate enemies. I have been cut twice but I heal well.

Someday, we get in a storm and get blown off course but we have a Captain who steers our ship. Some days, it is quiet. I like going on land and exploring the woods and mountains. I even have a pet parrot. He is red, green and his name is Serenity. He doesn't fly away. He likes living on the ship and every one feeds him crackers. We hide our treasures in different places. I have my own cave and I hide my treasures. We stay on the island for a few days.

The men and I play cards. I beat them at cards. We wrestle. I am good at this. I am the only woman pirate. I have no boyfriend. I get along with all of them except one. Marden. We stay clear of each other. We will defend each other if enemy pirates try to hurt us.

We return to the ship. We don't always find ships to rob. We have to look out for military ships. They do want to hang us. We take turns being guards at night. The ones who stand guard get to sleep in the day but who can sleep with fifty pirates drinking, being loud and jumping on the ship. Sometimes, a pirate gets drunk and falls overboard and we have to fish him out.

Once a squid wrapped himself around the ship and we cut him but he grew more tentacles. Scary. We don't encounter squids very often.

Am I happy being a pirate? Yes. It's a living. It beats being a peasant. Someday, I will quit but that will be a long time from now. It's a Pirate's Life For Me!
