God does not have a beginning.
I was attending Peabody Grammar School.
Mr. Sulivan or Tim asked us "If God had a beginning."
I raised my hand, "God is infinite!"
Mr. Sulivan or Tim smiled, "What is infinite?"
I was confused by the question, "Forever..."
Mr. Sulivan or Tim gave a Chesire Cat smile.
"Forever is a very long time," he replied and the class laughed.
"If God requires a beginning, then he is not God," Mr. Sulivan continued.
"And God is only imagined to exist," Mr. Sulivan or Tim concluded.
I was raised to believe there is a God and his son is Jesus.
So, I pressed on, "God exists!"
Mr. Sulivan was the Sociology teacher.
"But, God's existence depends on your faith."
Mr. Sulivan smiled at me...
The class was silent.
"God exists! I don't need to believe it!"
I insisted...
Mr. Sulivan or Tim sat back on the front edge of his desk.
"Your stubborn," he said with a smile.
