#7 Little Fire

Week # Prompt: 7

FIRE

Any kind of fire goes!
As small as the flame from a matchstick to as large as a raging wildfire;
or anything in-between!

Little Fire

Jamie watched as the little flame started. Just a little bit of fire from a match. The leaves burnt quickly. He added some small twigs which also burnt in a flash. Suddenly the grass around him started to burn. The circle grew and grew. Soon the circle of fire grew so large he was trapped.

“Help!” Jamie yelled and yelled but no one heard. The fire circle had grown enough to torch a tree. Tongues of flame jumped up the tree to light the sky. Birds on fire flew from the tree.

Jamie yelled “Help!” again but no one heard.
