20220810 Finished a Draft

Well, after 4 years of research, travel and photography, I have finally finished the first draft of my creative non-fiction work You Can't Go Back. It is sitting at 29k words with around 20% just in note form. I hope to flesh it out to around 40k words before I submit it to a publisher who expressed an interest from a limited synopsis 2 1/2 years ago. I contacted them on Monday and today they got back to me saying they are still interested, but COVID has put them way behind.

So, no rush apart from what's in my head and getting it out of me.

A look at the places of my youth with the value of 30-odd years of hindsight, it has been a rather depressing journey. Now I have to make it interesting for a general Australian audience. Sorry, don't think it would work for anyone else.

Still, after 2 books rejected last week, this has been something positive for me.
