What is Worse Than Terrible?

Unfortunately, what is worse than the above blog title is what I did earlier today at work. And that wasn’t very much when it comes to the start of my single paragraph Story Outline for my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual. I only got Teaser Act One and Act One finished at work today. That equals only thirteen paragraphs written.

Why did I only get thirteen single paragraphs written earlier today at work? That is one question that I can’t answer. Because I don’t know why. I don’t think it was from a lack of sleep or concentration. True, I only got about six hours of sleep the day before. But that should have been plenty for me to not be a problem with my writing. And it wasn’t. at least I don’t think that it was.

Concentration wasn’t a problem either I don’t think. The only concentration problem that I sort of had was with how I can cram three to six single-sentence scenes into a four or five-line paragraph. That can be very hard to do. And it was for almost all of the paragraphs that I wrote earlier today at work. I knew what I wanted to write. Just not sure how to do it within those four or five lines.

I may have been very wrong about my Story Outline and my scene Outline. The Story Outline is going to be a lot harder than I thought to write it. True, the Scene Outline is going to be a whole lot harder to write because it’s three hundred and sixty single paragraphs. Plus, about twenty Establishing Shots. But it looks like the Story Outline is going to be almost as hard. Only for a different reason.

Tomorrow is Labor Day here in America. So, I will be working tomorrow. That means that I will be continuing to work on this project tomorrow. I hope that I get a lot of writing done tomorrow. But after what happened earlier today, I’m not going to count on anything until it happens. Hope that I can get two more Acts written. I may be lucky if I get one of them done.

What does that mean with my writing? It means that I will be going to sleep right after I finish writing and posting this blog entry. After all, I’m getting up very early tomorrow morning to start my eight-hour shift at work. I got a little bit of sleep after I got home from work today. But that only made up for what little sleep I got on Saturday. I still need about another six to eight hours so that I can go to work tomorrow.
