Are the end times here?

People have been saying for a long time that we are in the end times...Sheesh, Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins Left Behind series started out in 1995. (My 31 year old daughter was 4 at the time )

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. (Psalms 90:4 and 2 Peter 3:8). Time seems to be of little consequence in things like this; however we are told to always watch and be ready for when He does return.
2 Timothy 4:2 NIV: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
Matthew 25:1-12 is the story of the 10 bridesmaids...all were waiting for the bridegroom, and fell asleep waiting. The difference was that 5 were prepared, and 5 were not. The five that were prepared were able to go to the feast, and the 5 who were not prepared were turned away.

I think this way: Plan like you have eternity, be prepared like you have no time left. Just my humble opinion.
