Prompt for Tuesday, September 27, 2022 - Written for Take Up Your Cross

Here is a question my minister asked at Church. If you had to make a living at
praying, would you be able to stay employed?

Ouch!
Someone could be possibly accused of meddling instead of preaching

I'm sorry to say, that my prayer life has not been as such as to be "employable" or to stay employed. I do have to admit though, that since I've started blogging and finding so many like-minded individuals here at WdC, that I've spent more time in the Word, than previously. I do try to pray, but as with so many spiritual disciplines, I have to work at it more and more.

I appreciate the input and the prompts given for this venue, and I would be the poorer for not having them in my life. So, one more thing for prayer...

Help me, Lord, to be a profitable servant. Let me pray as I should. Let me not just do the bare minimum, but to let my light shine for You.
