Patience or Folly - Take Up Your Cross

Prompt for Friday, September 30, 2022

Proverbs 14:29 "Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly."

Patience is a virtue, so the saying goes;
But being quick-tempered is madness.
Those who can wait are rewarded,
To do otherwise can bring sadness.

Having patience, and forethought can be a tremendous blessing. One who is "quick-tempered", or lacks said patience, can end up regretting it in the end.

Another way to say it: "He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit (is better than)
he that taketh a city” (Proverbs 16:32).

Just my thoughts on this verse.
