Take Up Your Cross for Oct 7-10th

Proverbs 27:3 October 7th -Stone is heavy and sand a burden,
but a fool’s provocation is heavier than both.

There is no getting away from foolishness. Foolishness has no basis in reasonableness and you can't fix "foolishness".


Proverbs 27:5 October 8th -Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming,
but who can stand before jealousy?

Jealousy is truly a green eyed monster. I believe it was Jealousy that Lucifer had over man's place in God's heart that drove him to fight (unsucessfully) against God, and to deceive the woman that began the Fall of Man.

Proverbs 27:5 October 10th -Better is open rebuke
than hidden love.

It is my opinion that a person is better off being held accountable and shown how they are wrong, rather than always receiving an "atta boy". Those words end up being empty and do not help a person grow. I don't think that positive reinforcement is wrong, but needs to be used wisely.

This is my opinion on this chapter of Proverbs.
