Names of Jehovah - Take Up Your Cross

Here are a few of the Names of God. They all are special, and this list is not exhaustive by any means. Jehovah Rapha - "The God who heals" is special to me this year. Also Jehovah Jireh, which means the Lord will provide. May we always be aware of His Presence in our lives.

Yahweh - Meaning: “The Lord”, “God”

“These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created. In the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.” Genesis 2:4

Adonai - Meaning: “Lord God”, “Master”

“Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord God, the God of Israel.” Exodus 34:23

Elohim - Meaning: Father God / God the Creator "In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth,” Genesis 1:1

Jehovah Jireh - Meaning: “The Lord will provide”

‘“So Abraham called that place “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”’ Genesis 22:14


Jehovah Rapha - Meaning: “The God who heals” “He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3
