A blog detailing my writing over the next however long. |
November 15, 2022, 4:00pm Well, that's it. A final almost 10k writing day and the story is over. Here's my blurb.: In one week, Nathaniel finds he has a sister and gets a girlfriend, and life feels perfect. Then the attacks start. An Irish priest and belligerent cop are giving him grief. Death surrounds him. Those he loves are taken. And, to make it worse, he discovers his sister may not be all she seems. But does any of that matter when they have to fight demons from the Other World? 100k+ words in 15 days. Being unemployed does have some advantages, I guess. Tomorrow I'll start a quick functional edit before putting it away for a while, and coming back to it when I've got time. Or something akin to a life. The stats say I averaged over 6700 words a day. That's pretty good, I reckon. Will I bother trying to on-sell this one? Not sure. It does not feel like one of my better ones, and I have plenty of other novels that would be easier sells. I'll look at it after I've done a better edit. So, if anyone reads this, good luck to all those others doing NaNo. And, remember, even if you don't make 50k words, the fact you've written something makes you finish ahead of 99.99% of people in the world. |
