A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Two an Hour Isn’t Too Bad After I do my patrols at work, I have about six hours to do my writing. Of course, I got interrupted a few times during those six hours. Especially, toward the end of my shift. It’s not that big of an interruption. I still have around six hours of writing that I can use to get done. Whether I use those six hours to my advantage, that’s up to me. Earlier today I got twelve numeric single paragraphs scenes written for my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual. That averages about two per hour. That may not read like it’s a lot. It’s not. I would like it to be about three or four an hour. Unfortunately, that isn’t going to happen. Even on a great day, two will probably be my limit, and that’s if I’m having a very good day. At least I think twelve single paragraphs on a weekday is a good day for writing. True, it could have been one, two, or maybe even three more paragraphs earlier today at work. Only I had some trouble with a few of my paragraphs. I know what I wanted to write. It was just hard for me to put it into words. Several times, I re-wrote the same paragraph numerous times. If I was lucky enough, it was only a few words. Unfortunately, I wasn’t that lucky on these rewrites. It was usually several words, sentences, or the entire paragraph that needed re-writing. In about an hour and a half after I finish writing and posting this blog entry, I will be going back to work. That means I’m going to be returning to writing this project. Since I only have eight single paragraphs left for this Act, I will have at least two single paragraphs for my Establishing Shot. I think I will only need two single paragraphs for Act Three of this movie. It may be more than that, though. If I remember correctly, I may have a few extra Establishing Shots. I don’t think there will be too many more that show up in this Act, and I don’t think they will be a part of the writing I get done tomorrow morning at work. Because it’s only taking place on Gorthim now, there will probably be a few more Establishing Shots in each Act. Especially, the next couple of Acts. After that, it may drop down to just the first two that start each Act. Then again, I may be wrong about that. Will I get another twelve to fifteen numeric scenes done tomorrow at work? I can’t answer that question just yet because I don’t know if I can go that many single paragraphs written in one weekday aka Friday. I’m going to try to do it. If it’s anything like today at work, I may have a chance to do at least that many, and that doesn’t include any Establish Shots that I may have. Then again, I may be lucky to get ten of them done. You never know when it comes to me. |
