Thoughts on the New Year...for WdC
prayer prompt:
Pray for WDC to have a great year. Ask God for changes or things you want to see occur with WDC!

blog prompt:
What can we do to go into the new year with a positive mindset?

As I look toward the New Year, I have to be grateful to God for allowing me to see it in the first place. By all rights (other than His grace) I should have died. It still seems surreal to me, even being 6 months out. But God has His reasons, and it's not for me to question them. I would not have come back to Writing.Com, I'm sure, since I was at home recovering and going nuts. LOL. *FacePalm* But here I am, and I am eternally grateful, to say the least. I've made some new friends, and have several people that I pray for as I read posts and respond, or try to connect. I'm not perfect, but I am working on improving all the time...at least in this area *Headbang*. Diet is another issue...as it will impact my health...Back on the grind, but if I want to be around for 2024, I better get on the stick!

I guess going into the New Year with a positive mindset...Focus on the gifts that God has given us; each other to lift up in prayer and encourage. Even if it doesn't necessarily feel like a "gift", for the trials He has brought us through, or is bringing us through, if we haven't gotten there yet. And that is hard - I am still working on it...*Mindblown*

To not be afraid or ashamed of our testimony; even if it doesn't sit well with others. I am not advocating "in your face" or "shoving it down others' throats", but to be ready to do this:

“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15.

Anyway, that is my two cents' worth...Have a Happy, Safe, and Blessed New Year!!!
