Blog prompt
What are the blessed man and the ungodly compared to in Ps 1:3-4?

3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.

4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.

The righteous person is like a tree planted by streams of waters - with deep roots, and whose leaves will not wither. The water is representative of being close to God and His word, in prayer and study; a relationship (friendship) with the Father.

The wicked are dried up and are blown away by any wind of adversity. They have no roots, thus nothing to hold onto when life's storms approach.

That's my take on these verses.
