A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

For a change, I have some fantastic news about my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual. Not only did I get the thirty single paragraphs I needed to finish my Story Outline, but I also got started writing my Scene Outline. Overall, I got thirty-six single paragraphs written earlier today at work.

About one-third of them were from each one of the line limitations I use for my Outlines. Around twelve for my three-line paragraphs, twelve for my four lines, and twelve for my five lines. There may be a slight difference between my four lines and my five-line paragraphs.

I don’t think there is a line difference between my four lines and my five lines, but there could be. That doesn’t matter one way or another. What does matter is the number of paragraphs that I got written earlier today at work, and that number is a total of thirty-six single paragraphs.

Don’t ask me how I got so many single paragraphs written in one shift at work because I don’t know how I did it. All I know is that once I started writing I couldn’t stop. The only thing that stopped me from writing was work, and that didn’t slow me up that much. If it slowed me up at all.

Guess the decision I needed to make whether I was going to continue working on this project with my Scene Outline has been decided. True, with about two hours left of my shift earlier today, I could have decided not to continue working on it with my Scene Outline, but I decided to start working on it anyway.

I knew I wouldn’t get more than a few scenes written, but it was better than not starting it until tomorrow. After all, I have a very long way to go before I finish writing this Scene Outline. The sooner I got to it the better. I know six isn’t that many paragraphs, but it’s still the first two scenes of this project.

That’s right. There are four single paragraphs that aren’t scenes in this Outline. That’s because they are Establishing Shots. They are part of the two scenes. So, they count as single paragraphs too, but they aren’t scene paragraphs. Does that make sense to anyone else besides me?

Tomorrow I’m going to continue to work on this project. I don’t expect to write another thirty-six single paragraphs tomorrow. Of course, I hope that I can, but I’m not going to count on it until it happens. Hopefully, I can get at least eighteen more written. if I can do that I will end Teaser Act One.

After today, I should be able to get a lot more than eighteen single paragraphs written, but days like today don’t happen very often. I would like every day to be like today, but I know that isn’t going to happen. At least not as good as it was today. I’m not sure, but this may be a new personal record for me.
