Korean Holidays

Korea has two major traditional holidays
Chusok – Korean version of Thanksgiving
Celebrated in the fall
and “Seonal: Korean Lunar new years
celebrate in mid-winter.

on both days
people gather with friends
and family.

for a traditional feast
and an ancestor worshiping ceremony
often going to a family graveyard,

Children receive a gift of money
After bowing to their parents
Or grandparents.
