My hope is in You,
I'm fearful
I'm afraid

Though He slay me, yet I will trust
Is that what it will take?
Dying? Or just to self?

Happiness and joy and contentment
Are not the same things at all.

I'm usually an upbeat person
I'm generally happy.
I feel lost and alone.

I know it's not true,
That I'm being fed a lie -
Help me to see again
What you see, that my joy may be complete.

Bring back the sunshine, O Lord
I need Your warm embrace, that
I might be an encouragement to others
Before I leave this place.
