Reviews for Books Read |
I enjoy interactive writing and crafting. This book is one of several by Keri Smith that in my opinion is a wonderful take on journaling. I think it may have been targeted for younger readers/writers, but it is none the less full of things for you to do, to think, and write about. For example, one of the pages wants you to cut it and make it into a paper chain. Definitely not a typical journal. Poking holes into pages? It allows one to explore their creativity or (mess making) in an entertaining format. There are different covers for this series of books, such as a paper bag (like I used to do for book covers back in school), duct tape, or a more traditional cover in various colors. I found this copy in Barnes and Noble, but you can definitely get it cheaper on Amazon books. I would recommend it for those who have a particular bent for creativity, and its purpose is to be "wrecked" or used by the owner. It's been around since August of 2012, but I've never seen it until I went looking into the Arts/Crafts section of the store. I think it would make a neat gift for a teenager, or even a young adult. The ISBN-13 number for this book is: 978-0399162718 For the cleverness, and uniqueness of this journal, I would give it a 5 |
