20230317 Update

Not much to report, but I do feel I should write in this blog at least once a week. As of today my couch-surfing has been curtailed, so I am back in the car for the foreseeable future. I do have one night in a cheap hotel because I am playing journalist tomorrow, writing up one of the country shows, but one night is all I get.

As for my writing, i have been concentrating on my columns and a poem which is experimental and not yet done.

I also posted a short story that got rejected. The anthology was love stories based on love songs, and I based mine on 'Save The Last Dance For Me', written by Doc Pomus when he saw his wife dance with everyone except him at their wedding... because he was in a wheelchair due to polio.

It's written in two time frames, with different fonts and the recent sections in present tense.

They only said it was not accepted, so I have no idea why it was rejected. The anthology wanted stories of 2500-5000 words, with the "sweet spot" 3500-4500 words.
