Happy St .Patrick's Day !

Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Special Meal? Wear Green?


Back in the day, I wore green to school so I wouldn't get pinched. I also wore green to work as an adult so that I wouldn't get pinched...LOL. Not sure where that all came from. I just knew that pinching hurt, and I didn't like it.

Living in the New Orleans area at one time, St. Patty's day was a day for partying (any excuse for a party works in New Orleans, by the way.... Dressing up in green, having a leprechaun hat, and green beads with shamrocks made the day fun.

Like many holidays or days of remembrance, it has evolved over time and isn't quite what it started out to be. This day originated to commemorate the life and death of the patron Saint of Ireland. Now it seems to just be a day of parties and revelry.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents' worth
