What keeps us from sinning?



It's a profound question. Yet at the same time it is simple. The answer is you, me, us.

We are the only ones who can keep ourselves from sinning. It is a choice, an attitude that is within each of us. God gave us free choice - He allows us to do what we want. We aren't robots. If I make the choice to sin, it is usually a conscious choice. If I decide to be holy as He is holy, then, more than likely, I will be free from sin...but it is an ongoing battle - none of us will arrive until we get to heaven. We will fall, on occasion, for we live in a fallen world. This is why I try to keep myself in the Word of God, and am eternally grateful that when I do fall, that I have an advocate with the Father - Christ Jesus.
