The wisdom of the nursery rhymes told us what this really be / they told us all as children that life is but a dream

Then in 1983 / along came Run DMC / and they reminded us to see / they told us all it was a dream / wake up, just a dream

Even the big Nintendo machine / displayed this theme/ for the Super Mario 2 team / when they beat the boss / and the ending screen / showed them all it was just a dream

But the poets are the sages / the true and honest mages / they write upon the pages / so much wisdom for the ages / they perform their work in stages / and their power can break cages / their words can craft great changes
