What do you think about the angels in the resurrection story?


Truthfully, I don't really think much of the angel(s) that announced "Why seek ye the living among the dead?" (Luke 24:5)
But that must have been a shocker! They only wanted to anoint and give Jesus a "proper" burial, since it was so hastily done that evening right before the Sabbath. To find out that He was no longer among the dead, but was very much alive...well, that was news to turn the world on its ear to be sure.

Angels are messengers of God, and He wanted those sweet women to know that Jesus was indeed alive, as He had said would happen. Some people get caught up in worshipping the messengers, but it is God who must be exalted.

Just my thoughts on the matter.
