365 Days of Blessing _ April 21, 2023

Dear God,

You give reason to Your people to seek all of You and recall Your goodness to us, moment by moment.

You speak of the time of freedom in the blessings of Abraham, and the times that were good. The hardships that would define man’s dependence on You forever were in the making. There would be family discord and a casting away of a blessing in the family. And then a famine.

But Your power and authority is demonstrated in the deliverance You bring through Your man Joseph, son of Jacob, son of Israel. Then there is a Goshen. A good life and the seeking to remember the good and the power of God was tested.

Always, there is the trial of the human heart to believe in the real presence of You. You are to be exalted. But the way of slavery, though Goshen was a moment of deliverance from want and famine becomes slavery. Your ultimate gift, O God, is to show us Your mercy no matter what governments, task masters, and menial despots foist upon us. You prevail above the matters of mankind. You demonstrate an ongoing plan for this world and all You have created. Breathe. It is Your gift to us.

Psalm 105:4-6 & 23-25

Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His presence continually! Remember the wondrous works that He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He uttered, O offspring of Abraham, His servant, children of Jacob, His chosen ones.

Then Israel came to Egypt; Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

And the LORD made His people very fruitful and made them stronger than their foes.

He turned their hearts to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.

My willow tree dances in the winds of Missouri today God. From the South and North today. I am reminded to worship You with all my heart. I am reminded to seek out the One who controls the atmospheric streams over all of the earth. I am grateful for a day of praise to You, my Father. I am grateful for the love I experience in the light of Your goodness and grace. I will remember more and more the crucibles I have come through and the pleasant places I have ascended through while experiencing Your goodness O God...until ultimately, You delivered me from my addictions. My way and place in the kingdom has never been so sure and so pure. Blessed be the name of the Lord and the Holy Spirit who always draws me near no matter the times or the seasons. Thank You. Amen
