20230517 Return to the Fold

Almost 2 weeks since my last post! Sorry.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, my lessons with the family have been put off until next week.

The "Authors' Talk" was yesterday. Went well. I sold 8 books, made some money... then my car conked out and I spent all that money and then some getting the damn thing fixed.

I'm working most of my time on three works at the moment - two YA longer works and a horror for adults story.

15 rejections in the past 2 weeks, consisting of 2 poems, 1 essay, 1 article on Australian music ("too long", so i will shorten it and resub), 7 short stories, and 4 novels (2 rejections from agents, 2 from publishers).

No acceptances.

That's the past fortnight.

Minus the really, truly crappy bits.
