This is a collection of poems told from fictional view points. They are not about me.

A Serenade
As you gaze down
from heaven's halls,
I feel the sweet temptation
of your midnight allure.

Even in my dreams,
I yearn to behold your beauty,
which eclipses all the wonder
this ancient world could hold.

I hear your siren song,
beckoning me,
an irresistible flirtation.

I would ford the roughest waters,
defeat the mightiest dragons,
or any other quest that you might ask of me,
but you tease me,
torment me,
so far away,
yet flaunting yourself before me.

Tonight you seem closer,
the distance somehow less,
or is it vivid imagination
and desperate desire that only makes it seem so?

I give you all that I am,
and tonight,
I serenade you.
