365 Days of Blessing _ May 28, 2023

Dear God,

To see, and to know, Your Son Jesus, is central to the centuries of time that are now far past the River Jordan experience.

Nothing across that great expanse of time rivals the knowing of Christ Jesus as Savior and King. He has come to be the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit. He has come to empower all who would become His church. The light of that empowerment comes from the times of intimacy with You. And it is out of those times that we understand the teachings of John the Baptist and the teachings of the Apostles, and the teachings of Jesus.

His own words. He was immediately equipping His chosen ones to do the work of the ministry. Their understanding was defined by their experience with Him, that would become revelation knowledge later, as they were filled with the Holy Ghost.

John the Baptist knew, by the Spirit, that Your Son Jesus is the Messiah. And he also knew that it would be Jesus who would fill with the Holy Spirit, those who sought more of Him.

It is John’s declaration that brings the world into a collision course with Your purposes O Lord, and Your plan for salvation. He came revealing Your will, dear Father, and set on fire those who disagree with His plan.

John 1:29-30 & 33-34

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is He of whom I said, “After me comes a man who ranks before me, because He was before me.’

I myself did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

And I have seen and have borne witness that this the Son of God.”

Fill me with more of Your Spirit Lord. Help me to know You in the rest mode and in the action mode. Help me to fellowship with You in the blissful times and in the times of trial and temptation. You are awesome God, setting the world on fire with Your revelations of the truth. Bless me and my household today Lord. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
