A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
A New Record for Single Paragraphs I think this is a new record for single paragraphs. I’ve come close to this number before, but I don’t think that I have gotten it. If I had, it must have been a long, long, long time ago. I’m thinking centuries instead of decades. I could try to see if I have gotten more than fifty, but I don’t have the time to do that right now. That’s right. I got fifty single paragraphs written earlier today at work for a mixture of Part One and Part Two of the Movie Introduction for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. I only needed twenty-nine single paragraphs to finish Part One. That means I did an additional twenty-one for Part Two. Of course, eighteen of the single paragraphs were for my Tag Act of Part One and my Teaser Act of Part Two. These paragraphs are three lines each. That means that eleven of these single paragraphs are four lines each and twenty-one are five lines. Add them all up and I have written fifty single paragraphs total earlier today at work. If I add all these lines together, I get two hundred and three. That’s almost forty-one single paragraphs. that isn’t too bad for a Saturday. Especially, a Saturday like it was today. There weren’t a lot of employees showing up for work, but there were several more than there usually are for a Saturday. I don’t think forty-one single paragraphs is a new record, but fifty is. What does that mean for tomorrow? This means that I only have thirty-three more single paragraphs and I will finish writing Part Two of the Movie Introduction. It only took me about four and a half hours today to finish writing twenty-nine single paragraphs to end Part One of this Movie Introduction. So, if I did twenty-nine in about four and a half hours, I should be able to get four more in about an hour. If it takes me that long to write them. After all, it is a Sunday, and I usually get more written on a Sunday than on a Saturday. So, it shouldn’t take me an hour to do the other four. Whether it’s five and a half hours, more or less, I should have the time tomorrow to get started on Episode One tomorrow. I’m not sure how much of it I will be able to get done tomorrow, but if it’s anything like the last couple of days I may be able to get about half of it done tomorrow. I won’t count on that until it happens, though. I’m not counting on getting another fifty single paragraphs written tomorrow at work, but it’s possible. It all depends on several things. How many employees show up for work, how I’m feeling, and if anything happens at work that normally doesn’t happen. Any of these things could stop me from doing it again. |
