Crazy record temperatures Howling hurricane-force winds, Unprecedented fires in places Once thought to be paradise. Hurricane in the Pacific Our west coast threatened, So much rain after drought like conditions, An unequalled disaster in the making. So many storms, from disturbances To named storms - a direct line From the coast of Africa to the Gulf of Mexico Mother Nature's fury seems to be unleashed. All this comes when summer is supposed to be waning, A new season soon to be upon us brings up images Of cozy blankets and steamy hot cocoa. But I wonder if we will have a fall season at all. It seems prognosticators are calling for an Unprecedented fall - as hot as summer, maybe. With a gloomy forecast of snow, Even in places it shouldn't exist. Such language brings the thought of climate change; With even the thoughts of an Ice Age.
