If only I had thought to walk through that open door;
Who knows what my life would have been like?
Questions abound, yearnings unmet
One cannot undo that which has been done.

"If only" is an exercise in futility;
An enterprise best not undertaken.
It is a thief of what time you have left;
Unforgiving in its nature.

Greet each day as an opportunity -
Each evening as a completion of what was pursued.
Waste not your time dwelling on the past,
For it is only in your memories.
