Butterflies whirl, I may be sick;
Nerves are firing on all cylinders-
I look out among the familiar faces
And I wish I were somewhere else.

Music swells, I hold Dad's arm tightly.
Gradually I begin to relax.
For a new adventure
Is about to begin.
