20231015 When Ideas Attack!

So...

I had an idea for a poem yesterday. Wrote a verse freehand, then got lost, so I typed it up to store on the computer. While there, I wen through the contents of my 'Unfinished' folder. I found a story of about 3k words, the fourth attempt I'd had at writing it. I read through it and an idea came to me.

The antagonist was right there, and I'd already made him sympathetic. The original version (well, version B, so the second) had him as the victim. Now...

Over the course of yesterday, I added 11k words to this little story. I wrote probably 15k words, but I did delete a couple of chapters because it was veering into cliche territory, and I decided on something more paranormal.

I guess I am luckier in this regard than most, not having a job or a social life, but that was my day yesterday - typing feverishly.

Sometimes these things just come.
