The Longest Day
         Written for "EXPRESS IT IN EIGHT " Open in new Window.; TOPIC: The Longest Day

Worry and anxiety fill my heart
Slowing time, prolonging my day.
Sleepless night, the voices start,
"What will happen, what will they say?"

Morning arrives in fearful dread.
Coffee's upsetting, I cannot eat.
Pacing the floors, throbbing head,
Only to learn it was all just deceit!
