Closet
Claustrophobic

There are closets all over the flat.
Packed to brim, each held things
serving needs for families three.
A lover of open spaces I felt choked,
a step away from being claustrophobic.

Vases, purses, bonnets and boxes,
trinkets, clothes and Kashmiri shawls...
I ran down into the lively, vibrant garden green.
