Every day
I turn on the news.
Another gun incident.
650 this year.
Republican leaders do nothing
But offer useless thoughts
And prayers.
Sheading crocodile tears.

Someday soon,
The gun ghosts
Will form a SuperPAC,
Perhaps called
“Stop the killing “
And lobby Congress to do something
Reminding them that relatives
Of the gun ghosts demand action.
