Norma's Homemade Banana Blog - Chapter 8

Day 1

My attire for the party will be anything I can wear to accommodate a full-arm cast and a bum knee. Currently this consists of a large man's flannel shirt or an x-large woman's top borrowed from a friend. I have skinny arms - Olive Oil arms who know what that means. All my tops have skinny arms. And my knee is still in recovery mode, so no tight-fitting pants.

So look for me in what I hate to see - PJ like clothing. And perhaps I'll have on a helmet and ear plugs to avoid the fireworks that started tonight.

For food I thought I'd bring some of the stuff given to us for Christmas in a gift box - breadsticks and some mini-size fruit jams. I do have a small bottle non-alcoholic sparkling cider. Since I no longer drink, I'll sip on that and keep the rowdies in check for Andre.

I know a great hang-out spot near my house. All the HS kids linger here, so you know it must be good. Top of the fire escape at the old elementary school just a block away. The school is waiting to be rehabbed, but the developer is taking his time. So no one will care if a few of us throw a party there. Plus you're within walking distance of my house if you get cold or need to use the potty.

Another plus - we'll have a front-row seat for the New Year's Eve fireworks. People always gather here to set them off.
